Site-Based Skills Instruction
Life Skills offers site-based skills instruction Monday through
Friday to individuals with developmental disabilities to support
and encourage vocational and community integration, recreation,
socialization and independent living skills. This program is
available to individuals age 18 or older.
Individuals receive support to create daily functional routines
within their natural communities. This is a flexible and creative
service to meet the personal choices of the individuals served.
Services are designed individually based on your Person-Centered
Plan.
We can assist you or your loved one in finding volunteer
opportunities. Life Skills can also provide you with the
opportunity to learn safety skills, money management and
transportation skills at various places in the community.
Additionally, this service provides training in accessing community
resources such as shopping, dining out, banking
and participation at various recreation facilities.
Site-based skills instruction can be offered out of our Concord
Plaza location in South St. Louis County or out of our Weber Road
location in South St. Louis, near I-55 and River Des Peres
Road.
