Life Skills Overview
On July 1, 2012, Life Skills and TouchPoint Autism Services
officially merged organizations. The new organization is
known as Life Skills, and TouchPoint Autism Services continues to
be used to identify the line of autism-specific services we offer
across the State of Missouri.
Life Skills is a not-for-profit, registered 501(c)(3)
organization that is committed to helping individuals with
developmental disabilities -- including autism -- learn, live, work
and participate in the community.
The agency operates three specific divisions, outlined
below:

Our TouchPoint Autism Services division strives to be a single
touch point for help and hope to families impacted by autism.
We will serve more than 3,000 children, teens and adults on the
autism spectrum in 95 counties across Missouri this year.
Training and therapy services are provided in homes across the
state, as well as at the following office locations:
St. Louis (new Corporate Square location!), Columbia, Cape
Girardeau, Poplar Bluff, Springfield and Joplin.

Our merged Community Living division is committed to helping
more than 800 individuals with developmental disabilities,
including autism, live independently in homes of their own in the
community.
Life Skills' staff members work in the clients' homes, offering
training and assistance whenever needed, ranging from 24 hours a
day to just a few hours each month.
A variety of services are provided to residents of St. Louis City,
St. Louis County and St. Charles County.

Our combined Employment Services division supports more than 600
individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, as
they build job skills, and find and maintain competitive employment
within their communities.
Life Skills' employment specialists match qualified applicants
with meaningful employment, and we continue to support our clients
as they remain on the job with job coaching and job retention
support.
These services are provided to residents of St. Louis City, St.
Louis County and St. Charles County.
